Five for Friday - April 18

It is Friday, woo hoo.  I have been super busy at school and at home.  I finished the Yearbook, which consumed every waking hour.  I was so excited last Sunday when I finished that I took a 3 hour nap.

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday.

We celebrated the twins' first birthday party.  Everything was pink Minnie.

We did a triple party because their cousin was born on the same day, 3 hours earlier.

Aren't they adorable?  It is more a statement, than a question.

My oldest grand daughter with her sisters.  One of the girls looovvveeed the cake, the other one - not so much.

I took a day off and we went to Disneyland for the girls' actual birthday.  Mom, Dad, sister, grandpa and both grandmas.  We had a great time, but it was really hard getting up to go to school the next day.

The cute apple they had for Easter.

My #2 grand daughter won an award in the County for one of her paintings.  I am super proud of her.

We had an egg hunt at school today. 300 eggs, it was so much fun.

These are the bags that we made to collect all the eggs.

I decided to combine the egg hunt with a Mom's Day.  It was a great idea, because the Moms helped with the hunt.

We made placemats for our moms, made a bunny and a bunny book.

We ate these yummy cupcakes.  It was such a great day.

Well, the countdown begins - 5 more days and I am on break for 5 wonderful weeks, sigh.

Happy Easter!

Five for Friday - April 4

I'm linking up with Kacey for a recap of my week.  The weeks are just flying by.

I love this book by Eric Carle.

We made our own cloud pictures.  The kids picked what they would like to see in the clouds.  Then, I found clipart to match. It took them awhile to make the clouds, total silence.

We had some really cool looking clouds this week, so this project was perfect.  The kids were looking at the clouds at recess - trying to figure out what they saw.

One of the girls said that "she didn't see anything in the clouds."

Mr. Smarty Pants told her "that was because she had no imagination" - which set off a ton of tears, followed by "what is an imagination, he says I don't have one."

*Ah, geez. This is the life of a TK teacher, but I wouldn't trade it.

We started our Plant unit this week.  We planted on Wednesday and yesterday, they wanted to know if they have Sunflowers, yet.  We need to work on time sequence, again. See quote from #2 * above.

Magic paint butterflies.  The kids loved it.

This project has consumed so much of my life.  The school Yearbook.  I got called in to the Principal's office at the beginning of the year and was nominated to do this project.  It is fun working on it, after I figure out all the templates and computer program.  It needs to be done next weekend.

Our season tickets came this week, woo hoo.  Last summer, my son and I bought season tickets for the LA KISS arena football.  We were in shock that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley would own a football team, so we thought it would be fun to go. Home games start this Saturday, it should be so much fun.  Great times to hang out with my son or whoever else wants to go to the games. Plus, a KISS concert at the end of the season.

Don't forget to check out all the blogs this week.  I am getting ready for the twins' birthday party on Saturday.  I can't believe that they are one.
