Saturday Snapshots - July 12

I am linking up with Michelle for Saturday Snapshots.

I took 700 plus pictures of my niece's wedding on the 4th of July.  It is going to take me awhile to go through all of them, especially since I started back to school this last week.  I am posting a few of them here.

My last day of school was June 27, then I started getting my room ready on June 30 because school started back on July 7.  I spent the week of  June 30 in my room and in meetings for the beginning of the year.  My niece lives in Colorado, so we flew out late on July 2nd for the wedding.  Her wedding was beautiful -  small and personal. She didn't miss a detail.

My niece and her daughter.

My sister (her mom) had cervical cancer when she was pregnant with my niece. She had to receive treatment while she was still pregnant.  It was very scary. So, my niece was a miracle baby.  My niece was always told that she wouldn't be able to get pregnant because of all the treatment my sister had received.

But, they were wrong - another miracle baby, Elizabeth my grand niece was born last year.

My niece, her new hubby, their daughter and his kids - who my niece adores.  Her new hubby has the nicest family that we are now a part of.  I am glad she found the perfect guy, I just wish they didn't live so far away.

My niece's bouquet.

Have a wonderful weekend, I have lots of catching up to do at home.  The two naps I had yesterday, cut into my productive time.

Saturday snapshots

I am linking up with Michelle for Saturday Snapshots on Monday.  I was really sad to leave hubby and Hawaii. It is hard leaving someone that you love so much. But, I feel the same way when I leave the grand babies when I go to Hawaii - so it is hard.

This trip was amazing, I was able to do so many different things.  I saw the most amazing double rainbow before I left. I was able to see the whole arch. It was so big and very bright, that I wasn't able to photograph the whole thing.

This is my favorite quilting spot, right on the beach.  I am working on one of the grandbabes' Christmas stockings.

I saw a lot of turtles this trip.  One day I saw 9 of them sun bathing on the lava rocks.  This guy was just coming out of the water.  So exciting.

On Saturday, I went to school and got my room ready .  Then in the afternoon, I took the youngest babes (along with their parents) to Disneyland.  Oh my gosh, it was so much fun - but I was so tired.  The kids were looking at everything.

This little guy is so glad that I am back.  He had to be in my arms all the time.  He would give me a hug, then grab my face and give me a smooch.  Love it.  He was a little jealous when I would hold one of the girls.

I got these onesies at Target, they are adorable.  The girls are getting so big.  Today, was a good - first day back.  But, this girl is tired.  Have a great week.

Saturday Snapshots

I am linking up with Michelle for Saturday Snapshots.  I am a day late this week, but yesterday I spent the day in the car.  I drove two hours for a family baby shower, three hours for the baby shower and three hours home in traffic.  I despise driving, especially in traffic.

I didn't take any photos of my classroom....none.  We had our art program on Friday and I forgot my camera.  I guess I am gearing up for my month break, woo hoo.

Did you see the full moon on Monday?  I love this picture and I was super excited to get it.

I love my morning coffee.  I quit drinking coffee for a couple of months, but morning didn't seem the same.  I get up at 3:30, so I can do school work or be creative.  This is my newest project.

Every Tuesday, I pick up an organic food basket from local growers.  It is a reasonable price and the veggies and fruits are so yummy.  This last week, I got a container of figs.  I have never tasted figs before.  Oh my gosh, they were so good.  I ate them with some cheese.  I need to figure out some recipes for them.

My grandson turned 10 months, yesterday.  I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.  We are busy planning his first birthday party, already.

I hope you have a great week.  I teach until Friday, then I have a month off.

Saturday Snapshots - August 10

I am linking up with Miss Nelson for Saturday Snapshots, she takes the most adorable pictures of her nieces.  She has another giveaway going on, if you link up today with The Swirl Girl.  She makes the cutest door hangers - I NEED a few.

Bath time for my adorable granddaughters.  They are getting so big, I get to spend the afternoon with them tomorrow.

Dueling cameras.  They were both sitting on my table and I thought it was funny.  I, always, carry one of them with me.  I should be an advertisement for Canon cameras.  I have had 4 different Canon cameras, I keep upgrading.

A project for my classroom, that I am super excited about it.

A project for my granddaughter.  I love the mustache and polka dot, but not the other two - looks like I will be going to the quilt store today for more fabric.

There is some major construction going on, by work.  They are making a new road.  When I was stuck in traffic, I saw these huge metal pipes discarded on the side of the road.  I whipped on my camera and took a picture, it seemed so sad to me.

I am going to hang out with some friends this afternoon.  We are going on a wine tasting harbor cruise, should be a blast.
