Five for Friday - March 28

It's Friday, woo hoo - so I am linking up with Kacey for Five for Friday.

ONE

We did lots of caterpillars and butterflies this week.

Our directed drawings of the life cycle - "Hungry Caterpillar" style.

I am amazed how well my little ones do with their drawings.  I love this activity for listening skills.

TWO

We started doing Daily News/Chit-Chat this week.  We are focusing on beginning sounds, the kids did a great job.  I love their drawings in the boxes.

THREE

I am trying to get more organized and keep the ideas from the spider web part of my brain.

So, I bought Farrah Shipley's TpT and blog planner.  It has tons of forms and it is adorable.  She has different colors to choose from.  I bought planners from two different stores, but this is my favorite.

You can find the strawberry and chocolate binder here

This is one of the forms.  I spent Saturday morning putting the binder together.

This is one of my favorite forms.  It made it very easy to plan out this blog post.

FOUR

We made a trip to Disneyland on Sunday and saw this adorable Caramel apple.  I shared him with the secretaries at work. I might be slightly addicted to these apples.

FIVE

My grandson started daycare yesterday.  He did great.  I was worried that he would start crying when his mom dropped him off, nope - he didn't even say good-bye to her.  Then, when my son picked him up - he screamed and ran the other way, he wanted to play some more.

I love his daycare provider.  She drops off one of my students to my class, so I can check on my grandson.  Plus, she is a behavior therapist and a Pastor's wife.  She is a blessing.

She uses this app called Tadpoles.  She updates it with all the things that he has done during the day, nap time, meals, diapers, etc.  It is wonderful - plus, she make sure that this Grandma gets a copy.

I am a very happy Grandma.

  1. Terri,

Stopping by from Five for Friday! I am SO impressed with the directed drawings of the life cycle. Those are fabulous! I didn't even know there were products to help me keep my TPT and blog life organized...might be time for me to invest. My homemade binder is super basic-it doesn't really spark creativity. Happy Friday!
